Cyprus Holidays

Cyprus is situated to the south of Turkey, and is the largest island in the eastern Mediterranean.  It has two main mountain ranges, the Pentadactylos in the north and the Troodos in the central and south western part of the island.  Cyprus is known as the island of Aphrodite the Goddess of love and beauty who according to legend was born here.

Holidaying here on an all inclusive Cyrpus holiday offers you the chance to see some of the wonderful landscapes, and enjoy the sun, sea and friendliness that Cyprus has to offer.  The sunny dry climate and beautiful waters that surround this island, along with glorious beaches and modern hotels and resorts offering all that you could want make for a really relaxing holiday.

One of the best options, is to choose an all inclusive holiday.  This means that your flights, hotel accommodation, food, drinks, and many amenities are all included in the one price so you know that bar the odd ice cream on the beach, and a few gifts to take home, everything is covered and you can just sit back, relax and enjoy your holiday.

One popular resort here is Limassol it’s the second biggest town in Cyprus with a population over 165,000.  Being right on the coast, there is plenty of accommodation that is very close to the beach ranging from luxury hotels, to apartments and villas, and with lots of lovely beaches to choose from as well as a good range of tavernas, pubs, discos and nightclubs and shops selling modern and traditional goods there is plenty to see and do here too.

Some cheap Cyprus holidays to Limassol include excursions, and a popular excursion is the local water park which is a great place for a family visit.  Don’t forget your sun cream though as with all the water activities and the lovely warm sunshine you don’t want to get burnt.

The medieval castle in Limassol is one of nine castles around Cyprus, and was built around 1000AD.  It now serves as a medieval museum and the collection there covers the period from 400-1870AD, and you can see exhibits of cannons, wood carvings, paintings, tombstones, statues, suits of armour, coins, metalware, pottery and more.  Other places of interest locally include an archaeologicical museum, folk art museum, public gardens, sculptures, and the marina.
