St Peters Seminary Cardross

Hidden away in Cardross outside of Glasgow is a dereilct seminary which was built by Glasgow architects Gillespie Kidd and Coia. I went to visit a few years ago and it wasa great experience.

I think it was a mixture of excitement because I wasn’t suppost to be in the building because it was dangerous and borded up, intrigue at why a building design so modern was built in the middle of a forest and dissapointment that it has been left to fall apart.

St Peters Seminary is worth a visit, you can get to it easily by car, or by train with a bit of a walk at the other side.

The Wee Chill Glasgow

Posted by admin | Posted in Scotland | Posted on 02-06-2010

Glasgow may do many things badly but one thing it is really really good at is knowing how to party, which is why I still love my home city so much!

I’m not back that often in Glasgow now but grabbed the opportunity last weekend to head to the Wee Chill which is a club night organised partly by the Sub Club I believe.

It took place in Queens park botanical glasshouses, it was excellent, great crowd, great music and excellent atmosphere. Having not been out clubbing in months this was a nice gentle way of slipping back into the scene, they even had facepainters too!

It’s on again in September so if you live in Glasgow or are visiting the city make sure you go!
