Puerto Pollensa

Puerto pollensa on the north west coast of Majorca is about 58 kilometres from the capital Palma – about a one and a half hour drive – the area is full of things to do and excellently located so that trips into the Capital are easily possible.

The area is made up of a coastal bay surrounded by the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range. This range of mountains shelters the bay and makes it perfect for holidaying and enjoying the beaches here. The beach area itself is surrounded by many bars and pavement cafes which look out over area to the seascapes beyond, and many people enjoy a glass of something in the evening here, or a meal made up of locally caught fish and traditional fayre.

The old town a little further inland is mostly pedestrianised and there are many historical buildings to see here. The streets are mostly cobbled and many date back to the 17th and 17th century. There is a market weekly where you can buy local products from local trades people and the whole town has an almost olde worlde feel to it.
P
In the evenings, you can choose between the modern complexes offering bar entertainment, the Chivas disco just down the road, and taking a stroll along the beach or sitting in a café enjoying local music. The choice is nicely varied and offers something for all tastes.

The area is very family orientated with beautiful sandy beaches and many things for you to do as a family, however for those venturing out here alone or as a couple there is little to disappoint you, and whether you choose to stay in one of the older hotels along the seafront, or one of the more modern complexes here, you are all set for a very enjoyable holiday.
