City Break in London with a Break in Cotswolds

If you are coming to the UK on a holiday it is great visit a few places given the diversity of the country. Which is why a London city break combined with a visit to the Cotswolds is the perfect combination!

London
London is the capital of UK, and it is also the most populous city in the country with a population of just over 7.8 million people. London is one of the most advanced cities in the world and has hundreds of attractions that anyone will enjoy.

Arguably the best time to visit London for a city break would the months between April and October. This is when the city has better weather. The warmest temperatures in London occur during the months of June, July, August and September. During this time the average high temperatures will generally be between 20 and 23.5 °C. September and the three summer months are the only four months of the year where the low temperatures will not drop below freezing. April and October have temperatures around 14 or 15 °C each day.

Two must see places to visit while in London are the National Gallery and the British Museum. The National Gallery is an art museum founded in 1824. It is the home of over 2300 paintings that date back to the 1200′s. The National Gallery is a great place to see works from all of the great artists including da Vinci, Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Monet and Rembrandt. The British Museum was founded in 1753 and houses collections on human history throughout the world. The most popular collections in the museum are the Egyptian galleries that hold actual mummies and coffins. While these are just two attractions in the city, there are hundreds of great places to visit. Some other popular attractions include Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.

Cotswolds

The Cotswolds are a hill range in the west of England and were named an Area of Natural Beauty in 1966. Located close to London, the Cotswolds are a perfect place to go after visiting the large city. The Cotswolds are one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in the entire country and a large range of different types of Cotswolds cottages mean you can stay in accommodaton that will give you a true flavour of this part of the UK.

There are small villages throughout the area with places to stay. It is amazing to see the difference between the two locations. London is one of the most advanced and busiest cities in the world, and then you feel like you went back 100 years when you visit the countyside ands stay in the Coltswolds. Visiting London and the Cotswold together is the only way to fully appreciate both locations.
