A small world in Notherumberland

Call me a geek, big girl whatever you want, but there is something quite amazing about doll’s houses. I can’t quite pin point what it is, maybe it’s the attention to detail, maybe it’s the historical qualities they possess, maybe its the mild childhood memories they provoke? Whatever it is they are quite amazing objects.

So when I was down in Northumberland a few weeks ago visting Wallington a national turst property and saw their dolls house collection I couldn’t quite help myself at attempting to try and take some ‘arty’ shots of the insides of them.

I guess I was trying to do tilt-shift pictures, but in reverse – making the small look big. It didn’t work too well, but it was fun all the same.
